Works to make my starving dogs look a bit more mannerly
I've always uses Corelle bowls for my Bichon and she has always been a fast eater but it never unduly concerned me. Last month, however, we adopted a little Maltese mix rescue and found out what a fast eater really was. This little girl practically inhaled her food and I was lucky to be able to set the bowl down before it was empty. I came across the Dogit Go Slow bowls as I was looking at dog puzzles and some more expensive dog bowls designed to slow down a dog's eating. The other bowls looked way too big for my girls , who normally don't eat more than one half of a cup at a time. The small Dogit bowls seemed perfect. I wanted to get the two bowls of the exact same type since I am making sure that my ten year old Bichon doesn't feel slighted by having a new sister. I figured the Dogit bowls were relatively inexpensive and so, if they didn't work out, I would not be out much. To my surprise, the bowls are so very sturdy and the rubber bottom really does keep them from traveling across the room as the girls lick out every morsel and speck of food. They both can get their faces completely in the dishes and I have used both wet and dry food. The dishes are easy to clean too. I really am tickled at how this bowl design does slow down my little food guzzlers and highly recommend it.
