Well Worth the Money - Read My Suggestions
We bought this because we were sick of going to the laundromat and spending close to $100 a month on Laundry. So we went out and bought the portable Faberware 1 Cubic Foot Washer and this dryer. The dryer typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour to dry this size load. We had a bigger washer but decided to downgrade because we had to split up the loads to fit in the dryer. You can fit more into the dryer, but you would have to dry it multiple times for it to dry properly. The quality is awesome. It looks really clean/modern and could easily fit on a small shelf in front of a window. The buttons are easy to use and it dries my clothing well. Just a couple of tips: It DOES need to be vented. If you do not vent it, then all of that heat and moisture will steam out the room that you have it in. We tried to do it without the vent and our bathroom was soaked. I bought a dryer vent attachment that would typically go on the exterior of a house and attached it to a piece of cardboard. I cut the cardboard to fit in my window. I then used duct tape to waterproof the cardboard. You can buy window attachments but this was cheaper. Make sure that you only put in about 1 cubic foot of laundry in at a time. If you put more in, then it will have to be run multiple times. I ended up buying a smaller washer to make this easier. The filter is in the back of the unit. It has a regular dryer vent and a cloth one. Make sure you keep the cloth one behind the regular vent. The cloth one is supposed to catch anything the other one cannot. If you put the cloth one in front, then all of the lint from the dryer will attach to it and it’s a pain to clean. If you’ve found this review helpful, please hit the like button!
