For some reason I was picturing something smaller than this, but I am pleasantly surprised. I included bananas for scale just in case anyone else has the same problems with imagination that I did. So far, so good. I clearly need a bigger container. I bought a 6inch rose bowl just because I didn't want to invest too much cash if my cats hated it or these fish were junk. There's a small hidden sensor on both sides that turns them off and on. Sometimes picking the fish up is enough to trigger the sensor and make it turn on temporarily and I spent like 15 mins shaking the fish trying to figure out how to turn them on permanently. I even thought maybe I had to add another battery myself. Nope! Not sure how the sensor works but it seems to do okay in water. Only other complaint is that they float a bit too much and could use some internal weight to pull them down into the water more.
