I live in the Northeast with often bitterly cold winter days and nights. I take care of an outside feral cat who will not come inside the house. After 4 years of feeding and providing shelter to this beautiful gentle soul, and telling him that I'm his mommy, he still will not let me pet him and will not enter the house the many times I hold open the door. So I've tried different outside cat shelters and he likes a big box best, LOL, as long as it has a soft bed and is protected from the elements. The Toozey Pet Heating Pad is excellent for the outside sheltered box. It is soft and it has many temperature settings that work great. For the nights with below-freezing temps, I put the temperature on the highest heat setting and it works great to keep Duke warm and really limber. It also has a 24 hour timer but I keep the pad on all the time now that winter is here, and simply adjust the temperature setting as warranted. I have been using this heating pad for Duke for two months and it works without failure. The power cord is suitably long enough and is tough and durable for use on the porch. And the price was excellent. I highly recommend that anyone in need of a heated pet pad give this one a try.
