I'm an ER doctor and this is my opinion of this otoscope after one month of use. I didn't want to buy a Heine toscope like most doctors here. I thinknthey are overpriced and not worth the price as you have to invest several hundred euros for a decent one. Pros: The Mom pro is compatible with most single-use speculums. It has a great lens that has a good magnifying power, which makes the instrument very comfortable to use. Despite its fair price, it's made with nice materials and has a pleasant feel. I was worried about the image being blurry, a problem that other customers mentioned. When I use long, thin pediatric speculums the eardrum ends up being too far and the image slightly blurry. But this is not a problem because you can easily adjust the depth of the lens by placing it directly behind the mirror instead of placing it behind the buffering ring (see picture of the components of the head) Cons: Slightly cumbersome and slippery, a clip for securing it to a pocket would have been nice (mine fell once out of my pocket). Final note: Excellent instrument that is worth every penny. Highly recommended.
