I was looking for a glass decanter for letting some of our better red wines breathe before serving. Didn't want any of the fancy ones that look like it would be a nightmare to clean. When I first got it, I thought it might be cast acrylic, but it's quality had blown crystal. It's perfect for those great red wines. Recommend getting a drying stand and flexible wands for inside cleaning. It's plain, not one of those mathematical inspired stem designs, but elegant and just what we wanted.
