Easily the best water fountain I've owned and my cat loves it
I've purchased both a plastic water fountain and a porcelain water fountain for my cat over the past year. I wanted to see which would work best and what my cat would like best. The plastic fountain was not a good investment as the iron build-up got quite out of hand that I would have to wash the plastic fairly thoroughly after every few days or else my cat would refuse to drink from it. At one point my cat stopped drinking from the fountain altogether and it affected his health. So I moved onto a porcelain fountain. Compared to the plastic fountain, the porcelain one was easier to maintain, but I was not too happy with how much water it consumed. Not only would I have to refill it nearly every day, it also collected all of the water at the bottom like a large bowl, and my cat doesn't seem to enjoy drinking from the bowl as much as he likes drinking from the stream.
So I kept searching for the perfect water fountain for my cat and I suddenly remembered the pet feeder I had purchased months ago and how much I loved it. I wanted to see if the manufacturer, PetLibro, had a product that was just as efficient. I noticed they came out with a new water fountain in stainless steel, so I decided to try it out and see if my cat would like it. I'm relieved to say that I think I've finally found a water fountain that my cat loves. I haven't used it for very long but I've noticed that it doesn't have as much of an issue with iron build-up as the plastic or porcelain fountains did, and it's also far quieter which is a huge bonus. I also love the design as it doesn't waste or require as much water as the other fountains and has a simple design with an easy flow for my cat to drink from. I've studied him closely to see how he'd react to the fountain and I've found that he spends a lot more time drinking from it than any of the other fountains. He'll even stick his paw into the water and lick it.
I'm not very picky, and neither is my cat. I just want a water fountain that can stay clean, something that's easy to wash, and doesn't waste a lot of water. Also preferrably something that's quiet and has a nice stream encouraging my cat to drink from it. This stainless steel water fountain checks off all of those requirements, enough that I can say it's the best one I've gotten for my cat so far. It's even dishwasher safe which I couldn't say the same about the other fountains I've owned, so this is a great and durable product in my eyes. It's also very lightweight which helps when I need to travel with my cat.
The plastic fountain I owned was the Veken water fountain with the flower top that everyone seems to love, but I thought it was horrible to maintain and my cat really did not like drinking from it. I also had the iPettie tritone porcelain fountain which was good for a while until I saw how much water it wasted and how loud it still managed to get despite being 'ultra quiet'. And I've had these issues with those fountains even after thoroughly cleaning them and replacing the water filters. But so far I can say with confidence that the PetLibro stainless steel water fountain is the best one I've owned. I should have just purchased a stainless steel fountain to begin with, but I'm glad I tried out all of them just to be certain. I can say with confidence that this is my cat's favorite one and I would happily recommend it. Between this and their automatic pet feeder, I'm starting to like PetLibro and will keep an eye out for them for any future cat needs.
