Not what I expected when my owner said he'd get me a hammock. Before we got this I used to ride around standing on and drooling all over the center console. It was a Constant game I played with my owner to get into the front seat. When He first installed the "Hammock" I just jumped over the top until He double wrapped the straps around the headrest and made that difficult. So "dug" under the sides and went back to standing and drooling on the console. Now He's punched holes in "Hammock" and tied the edges to to the front seat belt mounts, like that's going to stop me. I've tried over and under, next step is through. I hate this thing, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it keeps me from falling on the floor. Oh I forgot to mention the pockets, For Dog's sake what do I need pockets for. I'm and English Bulldog and I am chauffeured around in a 2006 Nissan Altima. Oh yeah, I've had no problems with the smell.
