I used this in my bird bath this summer. When it arrived in the mail, I went to the bird bath and saw small mosquito larva in it. How to make this product last longer with a small birdbath is easy ! I broke one of the dunks in half because my bird bath is not that big and put it in. The next day all the mosquito were dead. This stuff is awesome. I found the same results from breaking it into quarters and I bet I could go even smaller than that. They last a long time. I would say three to five weeks. And even when you cant see the dunk floating it is still working. I always put another one in when it was completely gone on top. My dog and deer drink out of that fountain a lot and no problems. With fall approaching I still have enough left over to go all next summer easily. At the end of the summer I realized every since I had started using this the mosquitoes around the house were almost non existent. Totally different from previous years when it was hard to go outside without getting bit !. ( And I changed the water in the bird bath weekly) This summer I only changed the water when it got dirty unlike last summer when every week it had baby mosquitoes in it !
