I needed to replace a hook in the shower stall in master bath so I purchased this product. It was very easy to install and has been working fine since I installed it. The key to a successful installation is to be sure to clean the suction unit and the wall to which it will be attached. You can use white vinegar or rubbing alcohol. Make sure both surfaces are dry before you install the unit. Also, you can't attach this unit directly to porous surfaces - for those surfaces, the manufacturer supplies a plastic disc with adhesive on one side. Peel off the backing, attach the disk to the porous surface and follow the directions included. Don't forget to tighten the knob for the first couple of days. I am very happy with the purchase and to me, it was a good buy. I recommend this product.
