Over the years I have had 3 or 4 of flexible hoses from different manufacturers and I have been disappointed with every one of them. The problem with them is that the protective fabric, covering the tubing, eventually develops a tear in the seam of the fabric, thus allowing the tubing to bulge out and burst. Once that happens, it's time to throw the hose away. Well, I was in need of another replacement hose and in my research I noticed that this TBI hose is advertised as having a protective fabric covering that is supposed to be extremely durable. They also advertise that the tubing itself is supposed to more durable as well. So, when I received this hose I immediately compared its protective fabric covering against the fabric on one of the "inferior" flexible hoses I still have. And sure enough, you can tell the difference in fabric quality and durability. The TBI fabric is thicker and has no seam whatsoever. Since its the seam that normally gives out, and the TBI hose doesn't have one, plus the fact that it has a more durable fabric, I believe I will be getting many years of use from it. I wasn't able to compare the tubing of the TBI hose with my "inferior" hose because I would have to remove the covering of both hoses, so I'm taking their word that it's more durable. By the way, I also like brass fittings (instead of plastic) that this hose has. One other thing, one of the reviews mentioned that the turn-off knob prevented them from being able to fully tighten their nozzle. I'm not certain what type of nozzle they were using (as they didn't show a picture of that), but I haven't had that problem whatever with the nozzles that I use. July 5, 2021 Update to my review above. I have had this hose almost a year now and have had absolutely no problems with it. The fabric covering is still holding up just like when I purchased it. Like I said a year ago, I think this hose will last for many years. July 2, 2022 Update. Almost two years have gone by since buying this hose. It's still going strong - the fabric covering is still holding up. I really like this hose.
