So i bought this item for the express purpose of making my own mayonnaise, based on the fact that in my local specialty stores a jar of preservative free, canola free, organic (you get the idea) mayo runs around $12 USD for a small jar which isn't even delicious, just palatable. So after watching a youtube video of someone very simply making mayo using one of these (i tried to post the link but my review was not accepted with a link in it) I followed a very simple recipe using avocado oil, lemon juice, dijon mustard, an egg yolk, & salt. Results: fantastic Tuna fish & egg salad have rejoined the regular rotation without having the extravagant mayo cost.and you'll never want store bought (with BHA/BHT, potassium sorbate or whatever else doesn't need to be in there) again.
