Really good stuff to take everyday for many reasons. I normally buy the 16 oz bottle of Nutrex spirulina powder and take approximately 2-3 heaping teaspoons a day but have not had the chance to restock after running out because the price for it here on Amazon fluctuates all the time from $24 to $40 for the same product. That is because it is always sold by different sellers! The loose powder form is the best way to take it because it is unprocessed without binders and other ingredients to form tablets. I purchased this jar of spirulina tablets as back-up until I restock kthe powder form and for its convenience of being able to pop them in my mouth anytime I need without having to mix with a shake or drink. Tablet form is easier to administer to my dog as well, whereas I normally sprinkle the spirulina powder into the dog food. There are so many spirulina tablets and capsules available online but most of them come from India and China, then processed in the USA. Spirulina from India and China have been found to be contaminated with lead, mercury and arsenic. No thank you! Nutrex was suggested to me from my holistic doctor who has a friend who has visited the Nutrex farm and knows it is safe of heavy metals and contaminants. I take spirulina for its anti-aging properties, skin and eye health, rich nutrients to boost immunity and to fight all kinds of day to day radiation, including the terrible Fukushima radiation already sweeping onto our west coast shores from Japan. If you don't know what I am talking about, do some online research and be informed.
