We have never owned anything by Bose before. Out of our price range and budget. We splurged this year for Christmas and we are mostly happy with it. The sound is very nice for such a compact device. HOWEVER, we purchased two wireless SoundTouch 10 speakers to go with it so we could have our music in other rooms. After spending 3+ hours trying to understand how the app works (we are reasonably tech savvy) and how to connect everything to our wireless internet, etc., etc. we thought we were good to go. But, no! We finally figured out from a forum we found through Google that we can't transmit music from the CD player to the wireless speakers!!!! Nowhere is this mentioned. All of the fancy talk about streaming music all over your house is ONLY for music that the System IV gets via the app or via a bluetooth connected device! It cannot send audio from its internal players (Radio and CD) or from an AUX-connected device. Given our vast CD collection (yes, we know we could rip it all to iTunes or somewhere), this was a very disappointing discovery! Bose needs be much clearer about this.
