My feline child and I absolutely love this water fountain great design, super easy to clean, very quiet, holds a great amount of water, great price and very cute. The one thing I don't like is the filter itself. I like where the filter is placed and its very sturdy I just think it should of been more filled with the charcoal and water softener stuff. I know not all the water is going through the four little 1 inch treatment packs inside the filter and I have very hard well water and am not willing to take a chance of my feline baby boy getting a UTI or crystals in his urinary tract even though it says the filters are for hard water been there done that not willing to do it again. So i will continue to fill it with spring water and the filter alone is the only reason for the 4 stars. I have bought MANY water fountains for my cats over the past 14 years and they have all been a failure, they were loud, expensive replacement filters and I had to buy all these small different width/length brushes just to try to clean them and still couldn't get it all cleaned, splashed water everywhere and I've bought all different shapes n sizes and from the cheapo ones to the $100 ones. Very pleased with this one like I said the only disappointment is the filter if the company makes the filter with the entire thing filled with charcoal n the water softener then this fountain would be 100% a 5 star product
