We had been using the typical hummingbird feeders found everywhere, but found they were impossible to clean. Worse, wasps were attracted to them because they could easily eat from them too. At first we didn't think much of the bees and wasps, figuring they need to eat too.... until we watched the poor little hummingbirds being viciously attacked by the wasps. We then read that the wasps can actually kill the birds easily as they are so small and the wasps are so possessive over the feeder. So.... we ordered a HummZinger and have been THRILLED with this purchase. It is so easy to clean! The top just lifts right off and you can easily wash the entire thing inside. The wasp problem has ended as they cannot reach the nectar. There is even a handy "ant moat" in the center of the feeder that can be filled with water should you have the problem of ants crawling down the hanger (or up the post if that's how you have it mounted). They've thought of everything with this feeder and the hummingbirds in our little mill village are very happy campers. Thank you for a great product!
