After about 10 years, my TOTO ST743S began filling erratically; the water would turn on and off for the last 4-5 seconds until it reached the fill line. I assume this was an issue with the fill valve, and since I had got 10 years out of the original fill valve I elected to replace the entire assembly versus trying to replace the round diaphragm at the top of the valve (which is an option; about $7). The installation instructions are pretty straight forward; you need to determine which model TOTO you have to set the correct height and put the locking insert in place (TOTO Models are stamped on the inside back of the toilet by the top). I only needed to cut about 2 inches off the supplied vinyl hose. The kit comes with everything you need with the exception of some scissors and an open wrench. The open wrench is helpful to make that last 3/4 turn on the nut the attaches the valve assembly to the bottom of the toilet (be careful not to over tighten). The nut that attaches your water line to the valve assembly should only be tighten by hand (DON"T USE A WRENCH OR TAPE). The new fill valve has been working great.
