This feeder only works in theory. The open cups are covered by a cage that when the weight of a squirrel gets on it, covers the open cups with cage material. It does move over the openings but all the squirrel does is shake it like a salt shaker by moving and the seed falls to ground for ez eating. I have watched one critter empty it completely in about 2 hours. The Better choice is The "Plus" version that puts a solid cover when a squirrels weight pulls it down.
