I did everything wrong...but the window came out RIGHT!
I remember during my childhood a crack on my parents' minivan windshield that grew longer and longer until it covered the whole window. When a pebble slammed into my windshield and made a crack, I immediately jumped into action! Out of many many products researched, I decided on this one because it seemed to have the best balance of price and efficacy. It is at least 1/5 the price of getting it down at an autoshop, requires no special tools, and worked perfectly. I did 75% of the instructions incorrectly, yet the crack is GONE.
I RECOMMEND this product 10/10.
WARNING: I made these errors, you may too!
- Do not put the curing strips in your pocket because now they will be covered in lint
- The pressure driver comes inserted into the resin chamber when you open the package. REMOVE the pressure driver from the resin chamber before you start the treatment process and definitely before you squeeze the resin drops in. Because otherwise the drops just collect in the pressure driver instead of passing through the resin chamber
- Even though instructions say to perform procedure in shaded area, do not do this at night because the final steps require sunlight to solidify the resin. Do NOT leave the curing strip on overnight otherwise you wake up to a rectangle of resin on your windshield. On the plus side, there is a rectangular area on my windshield that will be impervious to cracks!
