Fits fine under seat on American Airlines, can just hold a 15" MacBook Pro
I read all the reviews here and elsewhere about this Spinner Underseat luggage before buying it a few weeks ago. The main reason I am leaving this review is because several people have said categorically that this case will NOT fit under the seat on any American Airlines flight, which is the airline I try to take for all domestic travel (typically every two weeks). I bought the case anyway and tried it myself on two AA flights - the case fits perfectly fine under Economy seats. See photos attached for storage under window seat (tightest space) and under middle seat (loads of room).
Another topic I want to address is how big a laptop can be stored in the pouch inside the bag. Again many people have said a 13" laptop barely fits and a 15" will not work (but a few people have disagreed with this). I have a 2017 MacBook Pro with a 15.4" screen. The width of the laptop fits easily and the length barely squeezes into the case (you have to stretch the elastic velcro ribbon over it a bit) - the top of my 15.4" laptop is basically touching the zipper on the inside of the case when you close the lid. But the case does fit a thin 15" laptop.
Beyond the underseat storage and laptop size concerns - which I am very happy about - I only give the case 4 stars because of two reasons. Firstly the extending handle is somewhat flimsy and often the 'pegs' don't pop into the relevant holes on the rails to lock the the handle at various heights (you have to jiggle the handle and rails a bit). Secondly when you open the upright case just enough to take out the laptop or papers for client meetings there is no separator to keep all your clothes and toiletries etc in the main compartment from being seen and possibly falling out which looks unprofessional.
Aside from these two issues this is a fantastic underseat bag - I am always in the last few groups to board and have had it with airlines making us check in carry-on luggage if we didn't want to pay extra fees for priority boarding; this case is never questioned by airline personnel and does fit easily under the seat in front of you. The USB feature is a bit of a gimmick but I threw a old 10,000mAh portable charger into the inside mesh pocket and connected the internal cable and the USB charge port works ok. Aside from the handle/rails the build quality is very good and I am incredibly happy to get a spinner case this small that can handle flights for a 2-3 day business trip.
