This cot is perfect for my 2 year old and she could probably use it up to the age of 8 or so, but it does take some work to make it comfy. Like most cots it's terribly uncomfortable so I bought a foam pad from Walmart for $9 and then covered it with an extra sheet and it seems to do the trick! My little one was so excited when she saw it. We bought the pink one and I love that it comes in a cute pink carrying bag! So easy to set up, they even sent us a little pink sheet cover which was awesome, I put the foam pad on than the pink cover and then a simple crib sheet. So far we are happy! It's a better choice than a kids air mattress because those things can be so overpriced! I've heard some people say that the cot will close up because you do have to pull it out, I wish there was some kind of latch that I could hook on the bars to make it more stable like, but I've never had it just close on my child or anything, but my little one knows to not stand or jump on this, it's strictly for sleeping and sitting in the middle where it's most Secure. Over all we are very happy!
