Very Powerful Little Sprayer.
After comparing a similar device sold by my local Sherwin Williams paint shop ($399), I researched this thing and decided to give it a try. Wow, this thing exceeded what I expected! I'm needing to paint 19 doors in my house with glossy paint so really needed to spray, not brush. Today, I used this to spray two doors with glossy latex paint and it's great! NOTES: -This is more powerful than you expect...if you are not outside you'll need a good respirator (I got a 3M, (3M 07193 Dual Cartridge Respirator Assembly,Organic Vapor/P95,Large) for $19.88 when I bought this on Amazon) -Practice, first. And you'll learn to never starting spraying directly on what you're painting because it tends to throw a few larger chunks when it starts. (I just got used to starting on the plastic on the floor.) -Since it's so powerful, you want to lay down tarps or plastic anywhere near it. Also, tape down the plastic as the blowing will move them around if not secured. -With a full load of paint, it's not light so probably wouldn't be good for large paint projects. I'd suggest the same brand but they have one with a little console that attaches to the spray gun. -To paint two doors, front/back/sides, didn't even use half of the amount in the tub so will try painting four at once next time. -I had settings (width and power) right in the middle for the first use..probably will go to lower power next time. -Not as much paint comes out as I expected so a few coats (3) was best for me. I went side-to-side on the doors. -Suggest setting up bright halogen lights on what you're spraying as they really help you see if it's covering...especially if it's a similar color. (And always overlap your spray by 50% of course) -Clean up is very easy with some water and a little Dawn helps. It comes with a little brush but it's really too big for the smaller areas you want to clean. Buy some fluffy pipe cleaners at any gun store (or craft store) and they work perfectly.
