Helps with LPR symptoms
LPR (silent reflux) is no fun. I've had a sore throat for a year. The doctor said I had acid reflux and prescribed a PPI for me. After taking it for 3 months and still no relief I did some research. I found out I have LPR. I've tried different things for my LPR and so far Marshmallow Root works the best. PH water (kroger 9.5+), digestive enzymes (Drew Sinatra's), DGL, Slippery Elm, and probiotics all gave help in other areas of digestion. For my sore throat however, marshmallow root has been amazing. I currently take 2 capsules 3 times a day. Also, if you have trouble with the "sizzle" in the throat especially at night, Gaviscon works better than PPIs in my opinion. It allows me to get to sleep without the sizzle damaging my throat by acid reflux. I use the Kroger brand and it works great. If anyone else has LPR and has found other things that help, comment and let me know. :) And to all the LPR sufferers out there, you're not alone. LPR really is no fun at all. Let's work together to find the best treatments and lifestyle changes.
