My story: On my routine visit to my doctor, prior to a month ago, my blood pressure read great. My BP readings have been historically approximately 116/70 on the average. However, about a month ago my BP read at 140/80. Shocked is an understatement when I saw the reading. The medical assistant took my BP three times just in case of error. The doctor made an appointment for me to return for another reading in two weeks. During the two weeks I began researching and taking, raw garlic, dried hibiscus drink, raw ginger, grape seek supplements even turmeric. I returned to the doctor for the two week appointment. Much to my disappointment my BP read pretty much the same 140/80. Because taking care of my health is essential for me, no smoking, drinking, weight management, (5'9" 148lbs) healthy eating habits, exercise is a major part of my healthy living routine, I couldn't imagine what had gone wrong. I'm grateful to say, up to now at the age of a youthful 69yrs, I have not had to take any medications because my relatively good health does not require any. When she returned to read my BP print out she began to smile and said to me "your blood pressure is great." I ask for the readings, 116/65 , 119/80, 116/65. The BP readings were like music to my ears...excited and relieved I took a deep breath. I text my daughter immediately to share the Wonderful News...we were both concerned about my BP health challenge.
