This is a LIFESAVER
I purchased this device for my girlfriend over a year ago; she FINALLY took the plunge and tried it out after months of misery and consternation. In her words:
I have been having sinus and congestion issues my whole adult life, and they seem to be getting worse each year. I have tried all kinds of medication and treatments over the years, but nothing seems to help. My sinuses get so bad that my eyes make squeaky noises when I press on them, and my breathing is so difficult I have issues sleeping more than a few hours at a time. I've tried to use a Neti Pot in the past and it was uncomfortable, gross, and made me feel even worse since all of the water wouldn't come out. I've not been able to find any OTC medicine that helps at all.
I was very worried about using the Navage at first. I have had bad experiences with the Neti Pot, and I have inner ear issues that I was worried about aggravating as well. Also, I am stubborn and don't like to try new things (OK, I wrote that part!). However, things were getting so bad this spring that I finally decided to try it, after staring at it for over an hour. The first time I used it, I'm not going to lie, it felt really strange, and I began to feel pressure building in my ear. However, I kept on going, and water began to come out the other side and the pressure started to relieve itself.
Ever since that day (about a week ago), I've been using the Navage about twice a day, and I can't even begin to describe how much better I feel. I can breathe through my nose, there is no more squeaking when I press my eyes, and my headaches are gone. I have been sleeping until the alarm every morning, which hasn't happened in years (seriously, it was that bad).
To anyone who is nervous or apprehensive about using this thing, please don't make the same mistake I did and wait. I feel silly for not trying it right away; it has made a big difference in my quality of life. I have seen all kinds of awful things get rinsed out of my sinuses, including dog hairs and other allergens, and every time I use it, things just keep getting better. I had thought that I might need surgery to help with my condition, but for the time being, I am able to live a better life by power-flushing my sinuses once or twice a day. To me, it's totally worth it.
