I’ve had years of chronic, bone-deep, serious gnawing pain from a degenerated disc in my upper spine. I’m now 50, so I have many years of increasing pain ahead of me. I’ve tried chiropractors, deep upper body stretching using gravity, professional deep tissue massage, prescription muscle relaxers and fibromyalgia medication with little to no relief. The only time I’ve ever had real and total relief was taking prescription opioids which we all know is not a long term solution. Enter these patches. I had absolutely no expectations and truly this was more of an experiment to see if there would be any effect at all. I took the adhesive off a small patch, placed it directly over the degenerated disc, and lay down in my bed trying to relax. It was amazing. Seriously, the relief started within 10 minutes and gradually increased. My skin felt pleasantly warm and I couldn’t believe the pain was ebbing. I haven’t felt the pain decrease that much in years. I fell asleep and slept like a baby. I woke up in zero pain, I’m not even kidding. I nearly cried with the relief of actually being able to feel what it’s like to just be in my body without having to tense up against constant gnawing pain. I was a little scared that it wouldn’t last, but I was so excited to feel so good again. I went through my day, showering with the patch on, worked at my desk job and grocery shopped and cooked dinner. The patch didn’t move and I had no pain! Next day, worked out at the gym, visited friends and went out to dinner. No pain! I didn’t have to change the patch until 48 hours after I put the first one on, when the pain started to break through a little again. Within 10 minutes of putting on the new patch, relief again. It’s been a couple weeks and this has been my routine, and it’s continuing to work. Sometimes I can go three days before I need a new patch, even if I take the patch off after day two. I don’t know why these work. I just know they work on me and my long term chronic pain, extremely well. I’m so grateful and I hope they continue to work.
