I have 3 different diffusers and really like this one. Things i look for : 1. must not leak or pool water 2.Must be easy to fill, ie. You just have to lift the top to get to the reservoir without unscrewing anything. 3. Must be aesthetically pleasing 4. Must shutoff automatically when water is out 5. Any lighting has to be adjustable with a shutoff option. 6. Must have good mist output and provide diffusion for a large room. This one meets all of that criteria and it's not overpriced plastic. Make sure to use higher quality oils for lasting scent. I dont use the NOW oils because they don't seem to last. Young Living and DoTerra are high quality if you can pay their prices. I find Edens Garden brands work well and are better priced. I use about 8 to 10 drops of oil for best results. My bedroom is large and it fills with smell and the cycle lasts about 6 hours before it shuts itself off. Edit: Have now had for almost a year and use it multiple times a week and still going strong.
