I've used quite a few different cork pullers. This is the only one that PUSHES the cork out from the "inside" side. The ones that "pull" corks can wreck the cork, leaving bits in your wine, or worse, leaving half a broken cork inside requiring pushing it into the bottle. What a mess. I used this system on a bottle last night- It works great! I'll have to open a few bottles to get the feel of how much pressure will be needed for a given bottle- Four full pumps popped the cork out as if it was leaving a bottle of champagne! The pump is easy to use in all aspects- insertion, pumping, and removing the cork from the pump after extraction. I'm impressed by the design of the needle- The hole for the air is on its side, not at the very tip as it would be on a hypodermic needle. I'd been wondering if the needle could be jammed as it picked up cork inside the needle while being inserted. This design makes that impossible. Very impressive! I had occasion to talk to the customer service team (not that anything was wrong with the pump), and they're great- They genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction. I don't generally write reviews, but Wine Ziz definitely deserves one!
