I had the smaller one but my 22 year old cat started finding them difficult to use (after 2 years) and so I bought him the bigger one. He loves them. I bought him a larger set of stairs from a different brand and he HATED them. Wouldn't use them at all. So, so far the PupSTEPs are what my cat feels comfortable with. In my picture, these stairs are in the middle. The stairs on the left are the regular sized one vs the XL one that this review is for.
