Yes, these sheets are thin. That's why I love them.
I have have had these sheets for over 2 years. I have a print shop, and use my heat press everyday for heat transfer vinyl, dye sublimation, transfers, ect. I mainly use these sheets as a cover when layering vinyl. In between colors, you need a protective layer to keep the vinyl from sticking to the heat platen. These work great for that. In fact, I think these work better than the thicker sheets I've tried before. Although thin, Teflon sheets will absorb some heat. With many applications you need a fairly consistent temperature, especially dye sublimation. When using these thin sheets, it seems as though there is very minimal heat that is absorbed by them. Mine have developed a lot of creases that can imprint on to vinyl, which is why I am back here buying more. No sheet, regardless of thickness, will remain blemish free if you use them a lot. They are an expendable, and should be treated as such. The finish of these sheets are smooth. If you repress Siser Easyweed with the sheet it will make the vinyl look more shiny. When using Stahl's Fashion Film HTV, I don't notice the material becoming as glossy looking after repressing. It keeps it's matte finish throughout. I recommend experimenting with different materials to get the look you are after. Overall, I really like these Teflon sheets. In fact, I'm ordering more. For someone who uses their heat press a lot, I can't recommend these enough. I tend to get busy and throw things around, which has probably shortened the lifespan of my first set. But still 2 YEARS! Having a few of these laying around the shop is a no brainer.
