Best baby/toddler mattress you will ever find! It feels better then my memory foam mattress and the water proof cover is so soft it's crazy!! Your child will thank you!! UPDATE** I repurchased this mattress after being so pleased with my toddlers mattress, I wanted the same one for my 7 month old. Well it's no longer the same. I'll post comparison pictures. My original mattress was purchased last year and my 2nd just came in the mail earlier today. 1) new one is a 1/2 inch longer. That's a plus! Now it fits perfectly snug in the crib. 2) the new mattress smells strong! Like chemicals..it's hope it airs out in the coming days. Original one had no smell at all. 3) the new one is noticeably lighter in weight. I'm not too sure that's a good thing since heavier foams seem to be higher quality. 4) new one has "my first mattress" stiched into the side of it, 1st one does not. 5) the actual two mattresses are different colors (when you unzip the bottom) new one has maybe a half an inch of "gel memory foam" but I honestly can't tell the difference! Besides seeing that it's blue. 6) new one seems to appear thinner 7) lastly, the zipper and bottom material are completely redesigned. My original unzipped all the way around. New one, only unzips half way. I'm not sure how I feel about these changes. I almost feel like these changes were the comany cutting costs? I hope not. I will try and update after I get a better feel of the mattress in the following weeks. Hope this helps someone. UPDATE *2015*: 10 days later and I'm so disappointed. Still giving off a strong chemical smell! Can't close my son's door or it fills the entire room! Put my nose up to it today and gave it a whiff..minutes later feeling light headed with blurred vision..I feel horrible for letting my son take a nap on it earlier today. I still love my toddlers "original" memory foam mattress because I never had an issue with off-gassing. FINAL UPDATE: OCT 2017- Here I am years later and guess what? I've had a change of heart I guess you can say. I was 100% completely honest about my previous reviews but as time went on..the mattress eventually did air out. I currently still own both mattresses and I have a 4 month old daughter sleeping on the one I was so *disappointed* in. They both have held up beautifully. The covers have been washed many times throughout the years and still look just as good as the day I bought them. There's ZERO smell to either one of the mattresses. In conclusion- I have no regrets buying these mattresses. Money well spent.
