I followed the instructions. Set the timer for 120, left, didn't enter the apartment for an additional hour after the machine finished. But the Ozone permeated the air in the entire building. You could smell it in the hall, and even worse in the apartment upstairs. In the dead of winter, I was running around opening up everyone's apartments. In the 30 minutes I spent opening everything up - with the door to the apartment being treated totally sealed - I must have inhaled way too much. I was short of breath and had a sore throat the entire day, and the next day woke up with itchy lungs and again shortness of breath. If you use this, take it 1 step further. Don't just vacate the apartment, make sure the entire building and surrounding area is vacated and adjacent apartments are well ventilated during treatment.
