Was easy to install and so far works great
Most negative reviews are from people who did not read the specs and details. After studying the manuals and watching videos, I decided to replace my Chamberlain Chain model with this one. I utilized the safety sensors from previous model (and kept the new ones spare) and it took me less than 2 hours to take the other one down, and put this up. I needed my wife's help at one point only and a short ladder was also ok. Here are the comments: - Be aware that you need extension kit if your door is not 7' - LED lights give daylight, and I think it is more illumination than a standard door opener; which is why I paid more - Wifi connection was easy and went smooth, procedure is similar to connecting any wifi smart device to your network - Door opens with same speed of 7"/sec. Power is normally not a factor in the speed of the door as they have constant speed - There is a whining noise from motor as expected, but the operation is much smoother and quieter than chain - Watch the videos on Youtube, they really explain better than manual - Chamberlain says battery life is 1-2 years - I would also replace your rollers with nylon ones if they are still steel - Homelink may not be compatible with some cars older than 2014, check Homelink site before you buy - Remotes come paired as well as the keypad. You only need to set a pin for the keypad. From the app, you can add someone as guest (I added my wife) who gets the invite and connects like you did. You can set triggers e.g. if the door is left more than 30 minutes after 9am, send me an email or app notification. Needless to say that you can open and close the door from app and see for how long has it been open or closed.
