I love my packing cubes. Thought the compression ones would be even better, but after comparing I prefer regular ones. I didn't see much difference in size with the compression cube. You can't over pack them because they don't zip so I got less shirts in it without a significant size difference. My normal packing cube can expand if needed, which compression can't, and it can be squished down if not fully filled. I think if you're REALLY struggling for space this might be useful, but I don't see it being that useful for me.
