My 7 pound little boy, Seamus, fit wonderfully in here. It's sturdy and I love the fact I can buckle it in to the seat of my car. There are a lot of ways I can reach in to comfort my babies without the chance of them running out of the carrier. One thing that these don't have is a top down loading option. For those that have cats that freak out when being pushed into a carrier rather than "dropped" in from the top, I wouldn't recommend this one. However, both of my cats walked in pretty easily as they're "spacious" but not overly roomy to where it would cause them to be nauseated. I would highly recommend these. I've included a picture of the size differences between the small (on the right) and the large (on the left). My 12 pound cat fit in the large, Seamus in the small. The second picture is of Seamus checking out the carrier as I was taking pictures.
