I saw BR2049 the first night it was screened and 2 more times after that. Tremendous film. Had my complete attention, even during the 3rd viewing. It never felt 164 minutes long. There are others here who have summarized the story well so I won’t bother except to say that it is a great study of what it is to be human and poses questions about how we define the terms ‘living’ and ‘alive’, much like the original did. Are replicants alive or is that exclusive to organic beings? If you’re a fan of the first one you are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t see this one.
