Let's be honest here. I'm a "woman of a certain age" and I gave up buying anything that needs to be ironed a long time ago. I also don't travel with an iron. They're often provided in hotel rooms and, frankly, if I'm that desperate, which I'm generally not, I just hang the item in the bathroom when I shower. HOWEVER… I do sew! And this is soooooo much easier than dragging out my big, heavy iron to flatten seams and smooth smaller pieces of fabric. I absolutely love this thing and am now thinking of cleaning up my traditional iron and donating it. I need the steam feature and really think it covers any real ironing need I can imagine having. This is a definite must-have for anyone who creatively works with fabric, although I suppose if you actually wanted to use it as a traditional iron, it's lightweight for travel and would work splendidly, too. :) Recommended!!
