I used to have a very large round decorative pillow that I was using because it helped give me more head support for sleeping on my side. The only problem was that it was a little too elevating and its roundness meant that it would slip out from under my head frequently. I would find myself putting pressure on the edge of the pillow with my head to hold it in place, which gave me a headache. What attracted me to this particular pillow was the flat side of it that keeps it in place. I was very anxious to try that and see if I finally found my perfect pillow. I am happy I tried it. I have slept on this pillow now for several days and I have yet to contend with the problem of sliding pillow or extra head pressure on the pillow. I think I will be getting years of good sleep with this pillow!! My personal preference would be for it to be a little big longer. Its not quite long enough to be able to turn from one side to the other without having to readjust my head on it. It does come in a tight package where all the air has been suctioned out of it. It takes at least 24 hours to get it back to its natural size after removing the packaging. I like that it also has a separate cover that can be washed. I still prefer putting a pillow case on it though, but its not required.
