Just got the case and put it on my iphone 6. The case is one piece, with harder clear plastic on the back, and softer, rubbery-grippy sidewalls. There IS about a 1/2mm lip over the front face allowing you to place the phone front face down on a flat surface. And since the border is the grippier sidewall PU, it's slip resistant on it's face. Going on was a breeze. The cut outs for speaker, sound/vibrate, and plug-in sockets are all fine. The power and volume buttons are covered, but pushing them does not take unreasonable effort. The slim form factor is nice, because it give the phone some protection while retaining the 6's sleek feel/look. One of the biggest problems for me the first few weeks with the phone was the slippery nature of the phone. The 6 is thin and the edges are rounded/polished. On more than one occasion, while handling the phone, it wanted to squirt out of my hand. With the Spigen, there is no slippage concern at all. Re: case illumination (when flash is on, light refracts through the case and makes it glow), it's a nice party trick, and if I ever put the flash alert on, it could come in handy. I just like that the clear minimalist case allows me to enjoy the slim new 6.
