I ordered this bed, our first "elevated" dog bed, with some trepidation about the whole concept. The bed arrived, boxed, and in good order. I was pleasantly surprised to see there were only Nine TOTAL parts to deal with: 2- Main Legs 2- Support bars 1- Bed 4-screws! (Also, it even included the appropriate Allen wrench so I didn't have to tear my garage apart! Nice! 😉) Thankfully, no instructions were required to assemble this simple, yet robust bed. I cleared a spot on the floor, assembled while upside-down; seriously, 4 screws, right the bed and you're done, folks. If it took be all of 5 minutes, I'd be really surprised--Probably more like 3. My dogs IMMEDIATELY jumped on it, turned in circles and laid right down. HA! I'd like to think they were also thinking,"Great bed, Mom! Thanks!" Like another photo review I saw, I put a spare dog bed cover on top of it (yes, I'm one "of those" pet parents who think my animals prefer the comforts I prefer). The OxGord Elevated Pet Bed has four perfect spaces (see picture) left between the canvas and frame that you can easily poke the corners of a blanket or bed there to secure it nicely. If you choose not to, the canvas-like surface is more than sufficient for wo(mans) best friend. It is sturdy and withstands the scratchy claws of my comfort seekers. The size and sturdiness of the bed is ample also, it measures 29.5" x 37" and is a full 7" off of the floor. I have two rescues; 50# Pitbull Mix and a 60# BorderCollie/St. Bernard. They actually look small on it when they curl up for a nap! I can't imagine ANY dog breed that wouldn't be able to enjoy this bed. The four protected/plastic "feet" are also a nice finishing touch to not scratch any delicate floors. I'm completely sold on the elevated Dog Bed--It's GREAT. Side note: I'm hopeful that OxGord will soon come out with additional, more colorful (?) ala cart canvas for us to buy! 😉
