It is a first book in the series but there is no cliffhanger at the end, just a small hint of the next story It is a very nice fantasy with witches, murders, magic and just a hint of romance. If you are looking for a very pleasant distraction from reality this book may be it. Well written, it reads smoothly, with enough action and twists to keep reader engaged. The whole story is based on the idea of witches being able to extract people’s memories. I liked this idea and the way it was presented. If you liked "The Vine Witch" by the same author ( as I did) there is a big chance you will also like this new book.
