My daughter developed a severe allergic reaction to some unknown chemical in bedding that I had purchased from our local department store. I subsequently stripped the bed of everything and started over purchasing a 100% cotton mattress pad, sheets and this blanket. She has had no reaction since switching everything out, so I am quite happy to report that this blanket is perfect for anyone with allergies. It is also very well made.
