After trying a few brands of "emergency food" I've found MH to be the best one all around. My first experience with MH wasn't the best but I've learned how to tweak the prep and now I'm a convert. In my opinion no freeze-dried food is great but the fact that these pouches don't require any cooking or cleanup makes them ideal for disaster preparedness. As a person who's been in a few natural disasters trust me when I tell you that cooking is the last thing you'll want to do. Anyone who thinks they're going to want to (or be able to) measure portions, simmer things or combine multiple ingredients to make a meal is kidding themselves. With this pail the most you'll have to do is pick which one you want to eat. Add in some energy bars for extra calories and you're all set.
