It was super easy to put together and use
I got this in the mail a couple weeks ago. It was super easy to put together and use. It pretty much comes assembled, you just need to adjust the levers so that it's upright. It's compact and easy to store, which is great because I don't have a ton of space to workout at my house. I mainly use it for ab workouts, but there's a variety of exercises you can use it for. My friend said she like it for assisted push ups for example. It comes with an exercise guide and DVD so you can get a feel for the different workouts you can do with it. I got it to tone my abs and supplement my gym workouts, which are mostly cardio focused. It will give you a pretty decent low to medium intensity workout.
The real advantage is the convenience. It's a nice little machine you can use in the comfort of your own home. I like using the ab machines at the gym, but I also like not having to drive to the gym to get a decent ab workout in especially on days when I'm really busy and don't have a lot of time to spend working out. This does the trick.
I like how the levers provide resistance and tension so that your back feels supported. That being said I have a bad back, and I've noticed you have to sit and position the padded parts of the levers just right to avoid discomfort or straining. Once you get it in that sweet spot, it's pretty nice. I've found that I can do a lot more reps using this machine than I can when I'm doing regular sit-ups, and I feel like it's more effective than regular sit-ups overall. You feel more of that extension when you lean back on the machine, which helps.
