These are solid ankle straps that are built well. The velcro is very strong and threading is excellent. My only issue is that it would be nice to have more overflow area for the gripper to accommodate very small ankles better. The straps close very well but with thin ankles there's a fair bit of space because they don't close small enough. That means the ankle straps have a tendency to slide up to the calf a bit when in use.
