I did a lot of research, I ended up with the following: -sand/gravel base required = No, but level, pitch and compact. -concrete per mold = 1-80lb bag will do 1.2 molds -water per bag = Quikrete Pro-finish crack resistant = 4.5 quarts of water per 80lb bag -my preferred coloring = 1/2 bottle per 1-80lb bag -gaps in between - I will use the sand topping to get the gray color - assessed 10bags for 336sq ft -spray off mold with water and spray with wd-40 after every 4 molds Tons of work but worth it the savings. Very cost effective. Im doing a 24x14 patio - estimated 65 bags. I may need a few more bags. Will find out soon. Video of process:[...]
