Much better quality than drug store/beauty supply products
I have used several sets of Conair/Revlon hot roller sets. While they get the job done, the are NOT for travel. They are bulky, they break and only have 5 rollers. There has been a lot of good, practical advice and reviews here about this item. I received the rollers this week and love them.
PRO: This set contains 8 jumbo/large rollers and are compact.
PRO: traveled well in a black, soft quilted case.
PRO: how the rollers fit into place: a person would have to have very limited mental skills for this to be a problem. It is just like any "plug" - the roller has a small prong that fits into place as any plug would. Why anyone would look at it and try to fit it sideways is just......well.....really stupid.
PRO: they heat up quickly and are hot enough to do a good job
CON: I don't like the plastic clamps with rollers. No problem - I have a Baggie full of the metal "u" clips from other sets.
CON: the rollers are heavier than cheaper brands. Make sure they are secured well and don't plan on running a marathon while they are in your hair.
ADVICE: if you want a really good "set" - use a good, thermal styling set and spray each curl before you roll it. I am addicted to "Kenra Thermal Styling Spray"
