Update 1: The filter developed some loud noise within 2 months, so I just removed and added tetra's internal 3i filter and it's been running great since then. Also removed the heater as I always keep my apartment temperature from 76-78 C and adding those fixed temperature heaters were increasing the temperature to almost 85 C and my fish went crazy and shrimps died. I's been over 10 months and my betta is doing great. Also, the lid doesn't close properly so I am removing a star. Original review: On my birthday 4 days ago, I got this aquarium and my betta, Margaery along with 4 ghost shrimps (they help keep the tank clean of food debris while serving as playmates for my friendly Betta). Margaery (I know it's a male but it's too pretty for a male name), just loves the 2 gallon tank. It plays with the toys and the fellow ghost shrimps and started making bubble nests from the second day itself. The filter is pretty quiet and has a weak current which is enough to sway the silk plants around prettily but not disturb Margaery. The LED lights have so many settings and can be set on for 1,2,4 or 8 hours. In retrospect, I think I did have space for the 3 gallon tank but well, I don't want to stress my fish now. I got gravel from petco; the betta and ghost shrimps from petsmart; baby marimo moss balls from petco; artficial plants, anemone and shells from petsmart; and betta log, seavhem ammonia alert, Tetra test strips, Aqueon Betta food and treats, Seachem Prime, Tetra Safe Start, heater and thermometer from Amazon. Will update in case there are any issues.
