The more I use it the better I like it.
First, I have to give Amazon much credit for their extremely fast service and shipping. The product was ordered on Oct. 13 with 2 day shipping at an extra $10 cost and it actually arrived at my door via U.P.S. in less than 24 hours. In that respect Amazon gets 5 stars!
Understanding that this is a very new and innovative product, there will always be room for improvement. That being said, this is a nice product that I am still evaluating. Product quality is excellent and has a solid look to its construction. Installation is a breeze as advertised.
I've installed it on my Windows 7 Pro desktop PC, my Windows 7 Home laptop, and my HTC EVO 3D running Android 2.3.4. Pairing with all 3 devices was seamless with one exception. On the laptop it took about 5 tries to get the system to except the pairing code. Once it did it paired without a problem.
I am finding that the surface is extremely important as well as the correct sensitivity setting on the keyboard. Not sure if this is the case but, the unit also seems to get more responsive and accurate the more you use it. It takes time to learn the user's individual keystrokes depending on the thickness of your fingers, the amount of pressure one uses to type, and other characteristics of the users way of typing.
One of the real Pros that I like is in low light situations, like for me, my laptop keyboard is not backlit and for that it's great!
One of the cons as mentioned in another review is the keyboard layout. It is not a full, normal QWERTY layout and as said before does not have a right side number pad.
The mouse pad I'm still trying to figure out and at least for now going to stick with my wireless mouse. The sensitivity also has a lot to do with how well the mouse pad functions.
All in all it is a nice product, just a little too expensive. I'm sure as with most all technology oriented products the price will probably drop the longer it is out there.
In the YouTube video from the C.E.S. show they said there was a kid that, could type 200 words per minute on the Magic Cube. That I seriously doubt. The best typists out there type 100 to 120 words per minute on a perfect system.
Lastly, if like me you are a little geeky and really love technology you will definitely want to try the Magic Cube; it's pretty cool and has some good practical applications. I am a 10 finger typist and at best type about 50 words per minute. This compete review was typed using the Magic Cube and took about 4 to 5 minutes, including error correction.
