UPDATE: Spoke with RTIC Customer Service and they indicated that the tumbler must be factory defect and to return to retailer. I did just that and purchased a replacement that arrived yesterday. Performed the YETI vs RTIC test again. Results this time had the two tumblers performing with identical results after 10.5 hours. Thye both retained the same temperature to within +/- 0.1 degree and had the same amount of ice remaining after that time. Hopefully my 1 out of 2 tumblers being defective is just bad luck and not representative of their quality control. However, based on latest results, changing my rating to 5 stars based on performance and value! [...] Purchased RTIC tumbler for side by side comparison and test against my daily use Yeti, as considering RTIC for purchase of couple cases of tumblers for company promotional giveaway items. It's only comparable in appearance and function...period. The performance is no contest. Yeti far out performed the RTIC. The RTIC had issues with large amounts of sweating on the outside of the tumbler. Topped both tumblers off with equal amounts of ice and water at 9pm last night. Both were placed side by side on kitchen counter with room temp at 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Yeti went up 1 degree, RTIC went up 30 degrees. In my estimation, Yeti had 25% ice remaining, RTIC had 0%.
